Jodri Oosthuizen

Jodri Oosthuizen (B.Eng (Mining), MIMMM, Pr.Eng) is a Senior Consultant (Mining) with comprehensive knowledge and experience in various levels of open pit technical studies (Conceptual, Pre-feasibility, and Feasibility studies), life of mine planning, strategic mine planning, short term mine planning and operational implementation and assistance. His technical expertise includes open pit optimisation, design, production scheduling, equipment optimisation, cost estimation, and slope monitoring systems. He has experience in various mining software packages, the Geovia suite (Surpac, Minesched, Whittle) and Deswik.

Jodri’s professional career includes mine planning and operational assistance for various copper/cobalt, uranium, manganese, iron ore, platinum and chrome operations, with operational experience in underground and open pit hard rock mining. He has a consistent track record of completing mine technical projects through to implementation as well as being the lead mining engineer for the construction of these projects in West Africa. Jodri also has experience with hydro mining operations in Africa and has been involved in various levels of studies and production planning for hydro-sluicing and dredging operations.
