Alice Evans

Alice specialises in understanding sustainability factors affecting mining projects and operations, specifically with regards to waste, water stewardship and responsible mine closure. Alice has successfully undertaken approximately 10 ESIAs for large-scale mining projects, is a qualified project manager (PMQ), a qualified ISO 14001 ESMS Lead Auditor (IRCA) and a trained user of the SRCE closure cost estimator tool. 

As part of a 2-year secondment to the ICMM managing the responsible closure, water stewardship and tailings programs, Alice created the Closure Maturity Framework , managed the development of the GISTM Conformance Protocols and supported the work to update the Water Reporting Good Practice Guide.

She is passionate about collaboration and communication across disciplines and stakeholders to ensure projects embed sustainability. She also has practical experience inputting key sustainability risk and opportunities to resource and reserve reports.
