James has over 10 years' experience as a geological modeller and is an expert user of implicit modelling software, including Leapfrog Geo and other 3D GIS/modelling packages, and has developed and delivered 3D geological modelling courses to clients globally. He has an in-depth knowledge of Mineral Resource Estimation and has acted as technical lead for numerous resource mandates, ranging from exploration properties to established operating mines. James has experience in multiple commodity types, including iron ore, base metals, precious metals, and coloured gemstones, predominantly in Africa and Europe.
He has applied his skills to a diverse range of technical studies, from geological and grade modelling for Mineral Resource estimation and mine planning purposes to structural modelling for exploration targeting and geotechnical assessments. James has also contributed to field exploration programmes, where his roles included drill planning and supervision, development and implementation of bespoke logging systems, and training of company geologists.
