Joyjit excels in applying multidisciplinary and multi-scale approaches to enhance geological interpretations and support exploration and project development.
His experience spans a range of commodities, including iron, zinc, lead, gold, copper, coal and lithium. Joyjit has worked across multiple regions and mineral provinces in Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, Africa, the United Kingdom and Europe.
Joyjit’s technical skill set includes litho-structural mapping, core logging, open pit and underground mapping, and advanced 3D geological modelling. He has contributed to projects integrating drilling, mapping, geophysical and geochemical datasets to improve exploration targeting and support geotechnical operations. He also has experience in data QA/QC and training.
Joyjit is experienced in software including Leapfrog, Maptek Vulcan, WellCAD, Rocscience packages, acQuire, ArcGIS/QGIS, AZTEC and XMAP.
Joyjit holds a PhD in Geology from the University of Leeds, supported by the Leeds International Doctoral Scholarship, as well as a Master of Research in Geology from Macquarie University and an MSc in Geology from IIT Kharagpur.
