Rajib has contributed to a wide range of complex, multidisciplinary projects at SRK involving water management planning and design for operating, closed, and prospective mines. His work also includes hydrotechnical components of dam safety studies as well as support for discharge permitting.
His technical expertise spans mine water infrastructure design, climate change adaptation, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, dam breach and inundation assessments, mixing zone studies, and broader engineering evaluations. He is also experienced in the detailed design of water management structures, including conveyance and diversion systems, dams and spillways, sediment control ponds, and flood control and erosion protection measures.
Rajib holds a PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Alberta, where his research focused on dissolved gas generation in spillways and its transport, transfer, and mixing in rivers. His work integrated hydraulic structures, environmental fluid mechanics, and aquatic habitat considerations.
