Calvin Boese

Calvin's expertise lies in the design and construction of tailings retention structures, waste dump designs, and dam safety reviews. Calvin has worked at mines throughout Canada, USA and Turkey to provide direct operational assistance and design support for a variety of projects including: detailed design and construction support of tailings dams in Canada, waste rock dump, dry stack tailings and closure designs for gold mines in Turkey; feasibility level design for a tailings management facility in Alaska; design for both in‐pit and external tailings structures in the oil sands; and closure designs for several open pits in Washington state.

Calvin acts as the EOR for a large tailings facility in Ontario that is under active construction, is involved as QP in several tailings facility design studies for NI 43-101 submissions, and has been active internationally in conducting due diligence and dam safety reviews.
