He has expertise in management of stress-related hazards and provides services in seismic data analysis (mXrap), mine-scale numerical modeling (FLAC3D) and design of rockburst ground support. Before his time at SRK Consulting, Ben worked as a rock mechanics engineer at Kidd Creek mine, the deepest base metal mine in the world. He has practical experience in the design, implementation, and assessment of ground support strategies for most mining applications. He is also skilled in the geotechnical aspects of mine design for multiple underground mining methods, including optimization of stope design and extraction sequencing.
