Fernando Da Silva

Fernando has broad experience in Civil Geotechnical/Tailings Engineering and specialised technical skills in geohazards mitigation; design and construction quality assurance for large mining tailings projects (uranium, aluminium, copper-zinc, magnetite, iron ore, diamond, mineral sands, gold, potash and oil sands); tailings management technology development for external and in-pit deposition (below water table), to protect the environment both during emplacement and post closure; dam safety performance reviews; due diligence reviews; audits; and Engineer of Record (EoR), including legacy mining sites. 

His international experience in South America (six countries), Canada, Italy and Australia includes multidisciplinary engineering services for mining, hydropower plants, water retention dams, tunnels, deep foundations and civil infrastructure systems.
