Charles’ experience has included both time in laboratories collecting technical data and time developing that data for permitting and litigation support questions. As a consultant he has led several projects to develop waste rock management plans and other permitting documents for water pollution control permits in the State of Nevada in accordance with their cradle-to-grave approach. These projects include the QA/QC of existing data, identification of gaps, sourcing of additional samples meeting regulatory requirements and site/budget/timing availability, modeling results, and presenting information to regulators.
His litigation support work also involved evaluating large datasets for root‑cause analysis, which strengthened his focus on early, proactive assessments. He now applies this approach at SRK to help clients avoid costly technical issues.
