He has undertaken tailings risk assessments and risk management studies for planned and operating facilities, as well as dam safety reviews for several operating and closed tailings facilities in Canada and Australia. His project experience also includes the pre-feasibility design of a rare earth filtered tailings storage facility in British Columbia to support an NI 43‑101 technical mine study, and tailings alternatives assessments for a large-scale copper operation in Chile, including evaluations of thickened, paste, and filtered tailings technologies.
While his experience is primarily in Canada and Australia, Ryan has also worked on projects in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and the United States.
