In 2016, Compa..a Minera Milpo S.A.A. (currently Nexa Resources) commissioned SRK Peru to prepare the detailed environmental impact study for the El Padrino project. The study included an environmental and social diagnosis to characterize the environmental baseline of the project’s area of influence. This work was conducted by a multidisciplinary team, which also identified and evaluated the environmental and social impacts for each of the execution stages (construction, operation, closure and post-closure). Based on this analysis, appropriate environmental management measures were developed.
