In 2022, OLA Electric commissioned SRK India to undertake a value chain analysis for selected battery minerals. SRK’s work covered the full chain, from mining to end product, and included research into upstream and downstream processes. The team also mapped the national mining landscape relevant to battery minerals, assessed associated risks, and identified trends likely to affect supply and development. The battery mineral value chain analysis gave OLA with a global perspective on commodity dynamics and cost structure, guiding strategic decisions about participation and investment in specific value chain segments.
