Feasibility Study, Geological Modelling, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment

Udokan Geoenvironmental and Mining Aspects of the Feasibility Study

Udokan is one of the largest undeveloped copper deposits in the world in terms of metal contained with a JORC Code Ore Reserve of over 26 Mt of contained copper in an open pit reserve. Since 2010, SRK’s work on this project in the Zabaikal region of Russia, has included supervising the drilling program, preparing the geological model, and developing optimum pit slopes and pit contours. SRK prepared the geological, geotechnical, hydrogeological, mining, and environmental sections of the feasibility study, managed environmental and social baseline studies, and completed an environmental and social impact assessment.
