From 2010 to 2015 SRK undertook the feasibility study, detailed design, and construction supervision of the Tap D in-pit tailings facility for the Tucano gold project in Brazil. After advising the client on the efficient operation of the facility to maximise in-pit tailings occupation, SRK designed and prepared construction documentation for the West Pond and the North Mill Pond above-ground tailings storage facilites. Both facilities are currently under construction, with SRK providing technical support to the site personnel and contractors responsible for construction.
