Khotgor Shanaga LLC (the Client or the Company) commissioned SRK to provide technical services including exploration design, exploration management, resource estimation and JORC Resource Reporting on their Nuurst Khotgor Coal Mine located in Uvs Aimag (Province) in western Mongolia.
The tenement area is about 1,400 km west of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia; 90 km from Ulaangom, the capital of Uvs Aimag, and 40 km from Bukhmurun Soum, the local administrative centre. The purpose of this Report was to provide an independent resource estimate in accordance with JORC Code. This Report has been prepared to the standard of and is considered by SRK to be a Technical Assessment Report under the guidelines of the VALMIN Code which incorporates the JORC Code for the reporting of Exploration Data, Mineral Resources and Reserves.
SRK conducted site visits and reviewed the geological reports related to the project, including the sampling and assaying methods being adopted, borehole locations, the original geological borehole logs and evaluations undertaken for the resource category, and methods used for the resource calculation as well as review of the depletion of the resource.
SRK provided a technical memo with recommendations on the exploration plan for the drilling program in 2012; and exploration design and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for exploratory drilling program, established database and completion of data verification and validation. SRK also developed a 3D geological model of the deposit; and resource estimate under the guidelines of the JORC Code.
SRK Consulting conducted an independent geological review for Earth AI at the Willow Glen project, focusing on porphyry-style molybdenum mineralisation. This project delivered a comprehensive geological framework and identified key exploration targets to advance the project.

Seepage modelling for a TSF is typically performed to predict seepage into the groundwater system, which is then used to determine the need for geosynthetic liners.
Learn MoreIn this presentation Camilo de los Hoyos discusses the challenges in brine exploration including the geological and hydrogeological considerations in estimating a brine resource.
Learn MorePredicting the volume and quality of groundwater inflows to a mine requires 3D characterisation of the hydrogeology in and around the mine site.
Learn MoreThe mining industry is in a constant state of flux with ever evolving methodologies and technology, however, due to financial constraints and tighter budgets, a smaller piece of the pie is allocated towards R&D with the majority investment used to keep companies a float.
