AKBAKAI MINERAL RESOURCE ESTIMATION
SRK was commissioned in late 2013 to produce a Mineral Resource Estimate (“MRE”) in accordance with JORC (2012). Over the years, the annually updated MRE have been used to update the Life of Mine Plans as well as to underpin financial investment.
The most recent Mineral Resource Statement, as at September 2018, reported Resources in the Measured, Indicated and Inferred categories.
In the early years of SRK’s involvement, SRK completed the geological modelling and resource estimation but, with ongoing mentorship and technical supervision, the Client team has become more proficient and has assumed the above responsibilities with SRK subsequently performing review and sign-off.
SRK has been fortunate to work with a dedicated Client team and, as a result, the technical practice, such as geological modelling, grade estimation and Quality Assurance / Quality Control, are now considered to be best practice.
Generation of a 3D geological and mineral resource model. The Resource was reported in accordance with JORC (2012)
Prepared NI 43-101 report and mine planning studies, including pit optimization and design.
Designed and optimised drill hole locations, lengths, and orientations to maximise resources.
Undertook a mineral resource evaluation update as part of a feasibility study.

Learn MorePredicting the volume and quality of groundwater inflows to a mine requires 3D characterisation of the hydrogeology in and around the mine site.
Learn MoreFrom 2008 to 2012, the project included a technical audit of available hydrogeological data, and developing and implementing a field hydrogeological program in Colombia.
