SRK Canada welcomes principal consultants Paul Dagenais and Gabor Bacsfalusi to its Vancouver and Toronto offices. Paul joins Vancouver Mining and Gabor the Ontario Mining business unit.
Paul is a financial analyst with over 20 years of private and public sector experience. He is an expert in economic modelling, particularly the creation of flexible models for strategic project evaluation and optimization as well as scenario-based risk characterization. Semi-stochastic analysis and Monte Carlo simulation are also areas in which he has expertise. Paul is adept in project management and business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and process re-engineering. He previously held Senior Analyst positions for Rio Tinto’s Copper Group, Walter Energy, Teck Resources, and Mercer International.
Gabor has transferred to Canada from SRK’s United Kingdom office in Cardiff, where he managed the open pit technical group. He specializes in conducting and managing technical assessments for open pit mining studies as well as providing operational technical services support. Gabor has also been involved in due diligence reviews for external project financing, acquisitions and divestments, and financial evaluations. Acting as a Qualified Person, Gabor has prepared ore reserve estimates for gold, base metal, and iron ore deposits.
