Recognizing the future of technology is in the cloud, Mike Olsen, SRK’s chief technology officer, led the transition over several years from on-premises to cloud-based IT solutions. Using skills gained and time freed up by that success, Mike launched SRK's data services group in 2020. Now, SRK is integrating data solutions directly into its deliverables to assist clients with acquisition, processing, and analysis of geoscientific data into intelligence.
“The Data Services Initiative is a tangible demonstration of the shift of IT from a cost center to an integrated component of SRK’s value chain. IT is no longer merely aligned with the business—it is part of the business,” said Mike.
