This half-day course is intended for resource geologists, managers, and open pit engineers working on projects where there is a need to compute multiple optimized pits or carry out sensitivity analysis studies. Such studies help mining practitioners identify potential risks and opportunities related to variable or uncertain commodity prices, costs, recoveries, pit slopes, etc.
Participants will get hands-on experience using commercially available pit optimization software and using multiple cores will simultaneously optimize, report, and visualize pits by varying one or more parameters.
