His experience includes the design and simulation of mine water management strategies for water control and slope stability, as well as the development of dewatering and depressurisation programs for open pit walls. He is also proficient in groundwater resource and reserve assessments, and in the coordination and management of field hydrogeological investigations and monitoring programmes.
His practical field experience includes conducting pumping tests (from short-term slug tests to multi‑month pumping tests), surface water hydrology investigations, regional geophysical studies and surveys, and hydrogeochemical mapping.
For more than 11 years, Ivan has worked on a wide range of mineral projects in Russia and Central Asia, from exploration through to closure, with the geotechnics and hydrogeology department of SRK Russia. For the past three years, he has been with SRK UK, undertaking projects worldwide.
