Position Overview
SRK Consulting is seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer or Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Kitwe office in Zambia. This role forms part of the WATCIV SBU based in Johannesburg and offers the opportunity to contribute to water, stormwater and civil infrastructure projects within a respected, employee-owned consulting environment.
Description of Responsibilities
Technical Experience and Skills
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:
• Stormwater management and design.
• Pumps and pipelines.
• Stormwater and pollution control dams.
• Hydrology.
• Autodesk Civil 3D, MS Project and Microsoft Office.
• Technical report writing.
• Water and wastewater treatment experience will be advantageous.
• Deliver civil water engineering inputs across stormwater, hydrology, pipelines, dams and related infrastructure projects.
• Support technical design, documentation, reporting and project delivery in collaboration with the WATCIV SBU.
• Contribute to high-quality client service, sound engineering practice and practical project outcomes
Essential Requirements
Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:
• A Zambian national.
• Bachelor’s Degree or BTech in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years’ relevant civil water engineering experience.
• Professional registration with EIZ or an equivalent recognised professional body.
