Our SRK India practice is seeking a field geologist for our Geotech-Hydro group as a key contributor to our multidisciplinary team for ongoing field activities. The applicant should be a skilled professional with a strong foundation in applied geology. This role will focus on field data collection activities and support the diverse needs of our Geotech-Hydro team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the assigned projects.
- Provide technical support during field hydrogeological testworks, including setup, operation, and monitor
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure the timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Prepare documentation of field activities, findings, and report to senior officials.
- Perform data entry and assist in analysis of primary field datasets.
- Management and organization of field data, including recording and assisting in analysing field observations, preparation of maps, reports.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures during fieldwork activities.
Essential Requirements:
- A post-graduate degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills in English (both writing and speaking).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in field environment, and willingness to travel and work independently in site (remote location and variable field conditions, long field hours).
- Proficiency in data analysis using software such as Microsoft package, GIS, and statistical analysis tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate data collection and analysis.
- Previous experience in drilling exploration, geotechnical and hydrogeological fieldwork or related research projects is desirable.
- Commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable practices.
Working Conditions: - Field-based job with frequent travel to remote sites.
