Slope-Steepening-Potential Study for Björkdal Gold Operation
SRK assisted Mandalay's Björkdal operation by studying the slope steepening potential of several pit cutbacks. This involved compiling the geotechnical dataset, photogrammetrically mapping current slopes to analyse design options, assessing the pit construction processes to achieve steeper slope angles, as well as reduce waste stripping plus audit the underground narrow vein stoping operation. Both projects involved integrating and training site engineers to improve the operation's geotechnical function.
