Consulting industry leader Mark Noppé joins SRK Australasia

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA — 9 June, 2015 — SRK Consulting (Australasia) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Noppé, as Corporate Consultant, based in their Brisbane office. With over 30 years’ industry experience, Mark, a geologist, is highly regarded in the mining and geoscience consulting industry.

Mark commenced his career at Anglo American before moving to consulting in 1997, initially with Snowden in Perth then successfully established a consulting team for the company in Brisbane. In 2009, Mark founded Xstract Mining Consultants, since acquired by Calibre.

Mark’s areas of expertise include technical advice, project reviews, due diligence and audits, as well as training and mentoring in all aspects of orebody knowledge, from exploration, resource definition and reporting, mine geology and grade control through to inputs into reserving and feasibility studies. His technical experience covers a wide range of commodities and geological, geographic and mining settings and he has consulted on projects in Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East, Asia including China, and North and South America.

Mark is a CP(Geo), a Fellow of The AusIMM (2015 Chair of the Consultants Society of The AusIMM), a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is active in providing professional development training and mentoring to the industry. Mark has previously held positions as Chairman of the Southern Queensland branch of The AusIMM, Chairman of the Geostatistical Association of Australasia and Secretary of the Geostatistical Association of South Africa.  Mark has an MSc in Exploration Geology from Rhodes University, South Africa.

Mark will commence with SRK in June and will be based in Brisbane, Queensland.
