Emily specialises in environmental, social and governance (ESG) risk management aligned with regulatory requirements, global industry standards and frameworks, and stakeholder expectations related to responsible financing and responsible sourcing.
In addition to ESG review and strategic advisory services, Emily collaborates with engineering colleagues to embed sustainability concepts into SRK’s services across the mining lifecycle, including exploration, resource and reserve reporting, project development studies and mine closure plans. Emily also supports colleagues to meet evolving ESG requirements in the field of tailings management.
Through her work, Emily understands the need to identify and focus on material issues, and for sustainability to influence technical engineering studies and decision-making to maximise value for a project and its stakeholders.
