Staff Geochemist - Anchorage, AK (North America)

We are seeking a Staff Geochemist, for our Anchorage, AK office.
The responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
- Undertaking studies related to the mining industry including state/provincial and federal project permitting for operations, reclamation and closure;
- Designing programs to characterize potential for metal leaching and acid rock drainage potential including application of geochemical testing methods for ML/ARD and prediction of water chemistry; and
- Consulting on projects for North American and International clients, requiring travel
Qualifications and requirements are:
- A postgraduate degree specializing in geology, geochemistry, geological engineering, hydrogeology or mineral process engineering
- 3-5 years of experience;
- Proven ability to independently (or as part of a team) generate, implement and complete multiple work assignments in a dynamic environment;
- General knowledge of mineral exploration methods, mine waste disposal methods, mineral processing methods and mine and environment regulations and policies;
- Experience with thermodynamic modeling programs (e.g. PHREEQC, MINTEQ, GWB) is desirable; and
- A strong theoretical background, with demonstrated competence in realizing practical outcomes.
