Senior Resource Geologist - Sweden

SRK Consulting (Sweden) AB opened in April 2009, with a view to providing consultancy services to the mining sector across the Nordic region. The successful applicant will form part of a small technical team in what will be an interesting and challenging role during the start-up phase of a new regional base in Skellefteå, northern Sweden. Many of our projects are of an international nature and utilise SRK’s international consulting network.

SRK Sweden currently has a vacancy for a Senior Resource Geologist. Applicants will have practical operational and mine planning experience. Chartered status of a recognised professional association would be an advantage.

Successful applicants will be competent in the use of computerised mine planning tools such as Whittle, Mine 2/4D, GEMCOM/SURPAC and Vulcan and have experience in mine optimisation, pit design, equipment selection, production scheduling, and opex and capex estimation.

Excellent communication, technical report writing, and project management skills, together with a high level of numeracy, is essential.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a wide range of projects and commodities, including feasibility studies and due diligence mandates. Overseas travel forms a large part of the role and knowledge of a foreign language would therefore be an advantage.
