Senior Mining Engineer (Sweden)

SENIOR MINING ENGINEER - SWEDEN

SRK Consulting (Sweden) is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join an expanding team focusing on the Nordic region. The work will involve undertaking the following activities:

• open pit/underground mine planning, optimisation and design studies
• reserve evaluations, production schedule, mine equipment and economic evaluation
• project management and co-ordination
• business development
• managing and developing Consultant level staff
• report and proposal writing
• liaising with clients and other consultants

Applicants should, as a minimum, have a Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a mining related discipline and ideally have experience of working with a variety of commodities. Applicants should have experience in different aspects of the open pit/underground mine planning processes including optimisation, pit design, equipment selection and production scheduling.

Excellent communication, technical report writing and project management skills, together with a high level of numeracy, are essential. Candidates must also be fluent in written and spoken English.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the Nordic region and overseas and international travel will form part of the role.
