Senior/Principal Environmental Scientist

SRK Consulting (Russia) Limited is the largest international mining consultant in Russia and the CIS and, since the office opened in 2006, has grown to a team of 24 full-time staff.

We are currently looking for employees for the Environmental department, either as on a full-time or a short-term contract basis. The range of work undertaken includes environmental and social impact assessments, management planning, auditing and other activities related to environmental and social aspects.

Requirements to an applicant:

• Fluent English, for foreign specialists – good knowledge of Russian language (spoken and reading);
• Excellent client communication skills;
• Working experience of not less than 5 years;
• Experience of project management, management and participation in audits;
• Knowledge of international requirements on environmental and social aspects, including the requirements of international financial institutions;
• Beside general knowledge and experience in environmental sphere, special knowledge is required in one of the following disciplines: geochemistry, hydrology and/or hydrogeology, sociology, biology;
• Preparedness to irregular working hours and business trips, duration and frequency of the trips is not regulated. Trips in Russia, CIS and some other states;
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
