Hydrogeologist or Geotechnical Engineer - Anchorage

We are seeking a Hydrogeologist /Geotechnical Engineer for our Anchorage, AK office.

The successful candidate will consult on projects for North American and International clients; the ability to travel internationally is required. Tasks may include aquifer testing, environmental sampling, stream gauging, data analysis and interpretation and the development of conceptual and numerical groundwater models.

The following qualifications are required:

  • At minimum, a Bachelor degree in Geology, Hydrogeology or Geotechnical Engineering;
  • At least 5 years of experience;
  • Demonstrated leadership, technical writing, presentation skills and project management experience;
  • Field experience in hydrologic testing methods;
  • Solid knowledge of permafrost with field experience in the North;
  • General knowledge of mineral exploration methods, mine waste disposal methods, mineral processing methods and mine and environment regulations and policies; and
  • Knowledge of general mineral deposit types and identification of minerals.

As a consultant, the successful candidate will be expected to create and maintain client relationships and work in a team environment. Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities are essential.
