Contract Geologists - North America

We are seeking a number of contract engineering geologists/geologists to fill positions within existing field data-collection programs at a number of properties within North America. Individuals who are not legally allowed to work in North America need not apply.

The successful candidates will have:

• Minimum of a bachelors degree in geology, geological/mining engineering or geophysics; Experence in one or more of the following activities: geological logging, geotechnical logging or borehole test work on exploration or mining sites; and,
• The capacity to perform effectively during sometimes extended periods of field-work (of up to four weeks per rotation).

The ideal candidate will be:

• A team player, who has the ability to operate independently (with minimal supervision if required);
• Able to cope with a range of field logistics tasks, including drill-core handling, data collection and management, and reporting; and,
• Familiar with safety procedures, and cooperative within a larger organization.

The tasks to be performed include:

• The field-logging, for engineering-geology parameters, of oriented-core (On-site training will be provided to suitable candidates). The entry and maintenance of a database of logged data, in collaboration with other members of the field-crew; and,
• Effective field-challenge resolution in a dynamic work-environment.
