Senior Civil-Geotechnical Engineer - Tucson, AZ (North America)

We are seeking a Senior Civil-Geotechnical Engineer, for our Tucson, AZ office.
The successful candidate will consult on projects for North American and international clients, requiring some travel. Assignments will include work primarily related to the mining industry, including civil aspects of design, construction, and closure. Knowledge of local regulations as well as federal environmental permit programs is a plus. The position will include preparing proposals, participating in marketing efforts, preparation of prefeasibility and feasibility studies and design. Therefore, strong design and writing skills are desired.
Desired skills and qualifications include, but may not be limited to:
- An undergraduate degree in civil or geotechnical engineering;
- At least 15 years of engineering experience in heap leach and tailings design and construction, field investigations and other earthworks structures and related appurtenances;
- Effective communication, management and leadership qualities working in a team environment;
- Establish and maintain client relationships;
- Registration as a professional engineer (P.E., P. Eng.) or qualifications to become registered within one year; and
- Has status as Qualified Person under the requirements of NI 43-101.
